New car

I finally did it: After 10 long, strong years with my baby blue 91 Subi station wagon, I'm saying goodbye and upgrading to... a blue Subi station wagon!

2007 Subaru Impreza wagon, AWD, dual front airbags & front seat side impact, automatic w/ cruise control, a/c, cd player, 13,000 miles, dark blue.

The old Subi and I certainly had our adventures together, my dear 1st car: learned manual on that car, got 14 cross-country runners into that car on a camping trip hiding out from the summer rain, tried to teach Maria to drive it & she backed into a tree, drove to Portland & had the engine blow & had to flag down a car to help call AAA (before cell phone) & pay a ton to get it fixed over Labor Day weekend, consoled a friend during a breakup in that car, hit a deer, had a friend dent the hood by jumping on it, drove to the coast for Memorial Day weekend & had the engine blow in Hillsboro & had to get it towed back to Corvallis & had to replace the engine ... yes, good times for sure.

Hopefully the new Subi offers even better memories.
