JenJennyJenJen

At least I got to follow the work trip up with a little site seeing, and a lot of good times with Jen. She braved the flooded tunnels getting out of Norfolk and the hours of driving to DC to tour around with me in the pre-4th weekend tourist mess at the museums. We hit up the Air & Space Museum and my fav the Natural History Museum. We tried to walk to see the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Memorial but were caught in a vicious downpour and turned around. After staying with her very cool friend Karin, we headed back to Norfolk and Jen's sweet condo in downtown.

It's charades; guess what I am! YES- a giant phallic symbol!

There we caught a great free concert from Collective Soul (you've got to remember Collective Soul! "Don't scream about; Don't think aloud; Turn your head now baby Just spit me out" or "So I walk up on high And I step to the edge To see my world below. And I laugh at myself While the tears roll down. 'Cause it's the world I know. It's the world I know."). They were good, as was the bottle of wine :)
And we celebrated the 4th with a double fireworks show over the water; literally they had two fireworks sets going off about ...50yds? apart.

Even better with age! 2009 Collective Soul concert in Norfolk, VA

We make patriotism look GOOD!

Norfolk has lots of mermaids, and they are just as cute as Jen!
