Almost done with painting!

Well after several bad paint attempts in the living room for an accent wall, I surrendered the idea of the accent wall (for now) and the painting of the majority of my house is complete. Per usual, once I put my purchased paint color on the wall, I thought good god, how could I have thought this would look good?! This is hideous and WAY too bright. The too bright is a common theme for me. I should eventually learn to pick more subtle colors than I think I will like. My original vision for the living room was a golden color throughout the hallway, an darker gold color (which turned out to be mustard- yuck!) for the accent wall, a crimson-y red for small triangular wall, and a sage-y green for the kitchen (which turned out to be a gross brownish green that looked absolutely terrible with the wood cabinets). They were all colors on a palette together but were just awful on the walls. Then I tried to create a red accent wall, as the picture here shows, to no avail. Mixing paint got me various shades of pink or weird brown/orange/red or sherbet.

So I gave up and just painted everything this goldeny yellow. Hopefully it's not TOO yellow. At least it makes it look warm.

I did do a green accent wall in the dining nook.

Just have the laundry room and my bedroom left. Whew.
