Honestly, I'm looking for more than a spring fling... I am looking for a companion with whom to laugh, explore, travel, learn, connect, celebrate and fall madly in love. I'm not in a hurry to get hitched and have kids. But I am ready to meet the person who I get to share this all with. Can I find that online? Not sure, but I'm keeping it open.

About me: A friend once described me as wholesome. At 19, I felt irritated because I wanted to be described as a sexy, bubbly, spontaneous femme fatale. Wholesome -- to me -- meant the girl you take home to mom and dad, a good friend, down to earth, sweet, loyal, honest, generous, moral, maybe even innocent. I now take this as a compliment. Sure, I can turn on the charm, I am feisty and witty and sarcastic with a dry sense of humor at times, I can be spontaneous and I definitely like spontaneity and will try most things. I’m very easy going but I'm also pretty grounded. I'm very affectionate and loving and I need that reciprocated. Sometimes I wish I was a bit more assertive, a bit sillier, a bit less analytical and that I didn't take some things as seriously. But at heart, at the deepest, I appreciate that I’m loving, passionate, thoughtful, healthy, creative, and …wholesome.

I’m friendly but have a small group for whom I would do anything. I have a great relationship with my parents and brother, and am enjoying being back in my hometown with them again. Relationships are the most important thing to me, and good communication is key to that so I need people who can speak their minds and their hearts.

I value education and love to learn new things, whether it’s HTML or golf lessons. Lately I’ve been into home improvement projects, which is both frustrating (because I don’t really know what I’m doing) and interesting (because I have a chance to learn, experiment, and problem solve). I like my job when it's similar to that. I also value community service and enjoy volunteering because I like to see that I can make a positive difference in my community.

A perfect day for me (if it was possible to fit all in) would include sleeping in cuddling with my sweetie, coffee and a great breakfast, riding bikes, a picnic on a beautiful long hike with the dog, smelling pine in the air, taking some candid photos, swimming, BBQ and a laughter and story-filled dinner with family and/or friends, or watching some live music outdoors, or just cuddling up with sweetie watching a movie, fire going, glass of wine, pets asleep.

Ultimately I want to share my life with someone confident, competent, respectful, responsible, reliable. An affectionate and nurturing lover who is also a friend with open communication, trust and honesty, and the ability to show his love for me. Romance and some chivalry would be welcomed. Someone with passion for his life and interests but with his priorities straight, who looks forward to having a family of his own one day, who believes in community, hard work, fun and laughter and balance. Someone who is healthy in himself, grounded, sexy, intelligent, open minded, outdoorsy, generous, financially responsible, and has varied interests (i. e. not obsessed solely with one extreme sport). And someone attractive to me (chemistry is very important) :-). I want something deep and real and lasting. I don't want someone to "make" me happy (only I can do that); I want someone to help me be happier.

for fun: Running, swimming, hiking, talking w/ friends, xc skiing, biking, reading, coffee, movies, wine/beer tasting, dancing, day trips, singing (alone ;) ), beach, cooking, camping, blogging, riding on the back of a motorcycle, walking my pup.

my job: Program coordinator (event planning industry)... it's, uh, hard to describe... and a little nerdy :-)

my religion: I get a sense of peace and timelessness in the woods. I believe in energy and interconnectedness. I know there is more to know... just not sure what that is. I have good morals. Am open-minded but not looking to be converted or convinced.

my education: BA and MA in non-fiction writing from OSU

favorite hot spots: Love the outdoors, day trips, coffee shops, not into the bar scene but like dancing (not great at it though), love the mountains and the beach. Drake Park, breweries, HD Museum (not sure why but I love it), Meadow Camp, live music, dog park, river.

favorite things: hiking, xc skiing, biking, running, swimming, reading, cooking, cuddling up with a movie, microbrews, the beach, mtns, camping, coffee, museums, kayaking, wine, not much TV, learning new things, home improvement projects, playing with my pup

last read: "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho

my pets: A 5-yo siamese (who sometimes thinks he's a dog) and a 1-yo lab mix who never seems to tire (she has sooo much energy but is a real sweetie)
