This is what I mean by "rooster hair"

So... they had to cut my hair to get to my head laceration to put in the staples after the accident. All drugged up, I actually told them it was okay with me if they had to shave my whole head. Thankfully they didn't listen. So five months later I have these hairs that are shorter than the rest and they've now gotten long enough that they don't stay hidden on their own, but they are still too short to be pulled down by gravity to lay flat. Thus rooster hair...
