Today in the sunny 95' weather, Madre & I explored some of the city: the Alamo, the Riverwalk, La Villita, & Tower of the Americas with a great view of the city... oh yeh, and the pool at our hotel was awesome too! Final verdict on San Antonio: nice, fun city to be a tourist... for a few hours. The Riverwalk is cool but it's essentially just a bunch of shops and restaurants along a trendy lil canal. The Alamo is cool to see but I'm not the biggest history buff. Still, it was prettier than I thought, nice gardens surrounding it. It was really hot and humid though. I hope I acclimate quickly because wow, I was sweating as much as I could drink to keep up.
