An Offline Week at UTPA, Edinburg?

So for all my faithful readers (because I'm sure there are TONS of you), it sounds like I won't have internet access very conveniently while I'm staying at the Univ of Texas Pan American in Edinburg. I have a crazy busy schedule this week; between optional social events (field trips around the Valley, etc) and required lectures/seminars (about professionalism in the Valley, etc), I'm going to be exhausted I'm sure. So this is just a warning that after a week of daily posts, gasp!, you may not see anything for a week. What is nice is that I'm sharing a room this week with a gal from Boston whom I had already met and conversed with via Facebook... the power of the internet! Bad news is that I have WAAAAAAY too much stuff, even after I put a bunch in storage, so I may have to go through everything again to see what not to take to Houston on Sunday. Alas. So far though everyone is really friendly. I have an induction dinner tonight, which will be fun. Except that before then I have to say ta-ta to the last precious person, mi madre, who has been so patient and understanding and accommodating and calm (well, as calm as she gets) this entire trip~ thank you, Mom. I won't say "I couldn't have done it without you" because I could have, but it would've been hella hard so thank you, as always, for all the big and small ways you make my life better, and make it easier for me to shine.
